Users of the network should “Save” their Documents/Files on the server for BU Protection.

Cartridge Rotation

Cartridges should be rotated for protection; to insure that bad data is not written over good data.

 Cartridge Off-Site Storage

Cartridges should be stored “Off-Site” for protection against fire, theft, etc.

 “Mission-Critical” Files

An additional copy of “Mission-Critical” files/documents should be stored at a 3rd Party site for additional protection.

 Restore Testing

Actually restore the Backed-up files/documents to insure that the Backup procedure is working properly.

 Speed of Recovery

If the server fails – How long does it take to restore the server?
